Sheriff Craig Webre announced the P.A.C.T. Place Supervised Visitation and Exchange Center has received a grant from a private company. The Williams Companies, Inc. has donated $2,000 to the P.A.C.T. Place to assist with general operations.
The grant is part of the Williams Homegrown Giving Project which donates to organizations in which Williams employees volunteer. Karen Boquet, a Williams employee and an Auxiliary Reserve Deputy with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, began volunteering at the P.A.C.T. Place earlier this year and nominated the center for the grant award.
The P.A.C.T. Place was notified of the award in a letter from Susan Shepherd, Community Giving Program Manager for Williams. In the letter, Shepherd wrote, “One of Williams core values and beliefs is to support the communities where its employees work and live. We wish you much success and look forward to hearing how our partnership with your organization is making a positive impact in your community.”
“The PACT Place is a truly unique program that is built on community collaboration,” said Sheriff Webre. “We are very grateful to the Williams Companies for their generous donation and support of the P.A.C.T. Place.”
